Galaxart HD Tutorial
  1. Setup your background
Galaxart HD is a lot like painting on canvas, except instead of brushes you are using stars, galaxies and planets. So it's best to layout your background first. Using a nebula is a great way to start. By default the Nebulae are set to a very low opacity and Screen Blend Mode. This has the best effect when painting what is essentially a faint colorful cloud. Make sure Paint is selected in the Object Properties. Use your finger and just paint around a few areas of the screen until you see something like Figure 1.
  2. Add planets OR galaxies
Select Place under Object Properties and select a planet. Now use two fingers, pinch or expand your fingers while positioning the planet where you'd like it to be on your scene. You can also use a single finger to position the planet, but you will need to set the size manually under the Object Properties toolbar attached to that object. Figure 2 is the planet I chose.
  3. Dress it up
Now you need bring a little life to your scene. I chose some Lens Flares and positioned a few on the scene. See Figure 3.
  4. Dress it up some more
The planet looks a little dull. So I selected a Galaxy, set it to Screen Blend Mode and positioned it directly over the planet to make it appear almost as if it's spewing gas into space. Figure 4.
  5. EXperiment
There's over 100 objects to pick from, 10 backgrounds and 5 different Blend Modes. You also have full control over the size and opacity of each object you use. Play around with different settings and if you create something truly amazing let us see it. We love to see what users are creating and we'll feature it on this site.
